yes you are right. but i don't like buying old and/or used things. It's just me but i want to buy everything new. Anyway the wlikinson TTO head is a clone of the gillette tech (being a rebranded weishi 9306P) so it shaves in the same way. Everyone told me i would have been disappointed "becauseit's too mild" but you know what? today BBS with 3 passes and a voskhod blade. Go figure...You're suffering from a severe vintage deficiency!
You obviously haven't used a Gillette Tech. It's not a TTO razor.Anyway the wlikinson TTO head is a clone of the gillette tech (being a rebranded weishi 9306P) so it shaves in the same way.
He does. You're suffering from a severe vintage deficiency!
i know gillete techs. but..you are right i was thinking of the head of BAILI 176 (arriving as a gift) and knowing it's an almost exact clone of the tech... (wich is NOT a butterfly)You obviously haven't used a Gillette Tech. It's not a TTO razor.
if you PIF me a 1921 open comb gillette i would almost certainly accept it.
You prefer the 102a(1921) over the 102(Thin cap)? Have you tried the Goodwill 162 or 164? The profiles are quite similar. What about the 106(New Improved) or 126(Modified New Improved). The easiest way to identify a 126 is the Serial No. should end with a "C". They were only made in 1928 & '29. The serial numbers ended in October of 1927 and resumed again in August of 1928. It should also be recognized that they 126 was also being made when serial numbers were not being used, i.e. the first half of 1928, like the gold guard pictured below. The second way to ID the 126 is by recognizing the limited space between the shoulder and the opening for the center post. The serial number barely fits in the allotted space.i simply like the head. I would also like only the head. i would try to make it re-plated and i could use it on a modern handle (like the ikon bullodg)
Not so. Take a closer look. But it's got a Tuckaway handle!
