Bought my first Gillette Tech. Should be with me in a few days. Looking forward to having a shave with it

A design classic. Happy shaves. Mine pair really well with Gillette blades (unsurprisingly) - 7 O'clock yellow, and Gillette Platinum are the two I've tried, but whatever you've got will probably work just fine.

They are probably IMHO the most nimble, most capable of reaching difficult places (under/around the nose) DE razors ever. The head design is so iconic (and copied for good reason), and flat. Its one of my most loved DE razors. I won't part with my two (ball-end, and fat handle), but even paired with a Feather blade (I've tried many other blades too), shaving multiple passes, I cannot get an even shave. At least for my beard, its a bit too mild for me. Obviously YMMV.

I'm hoping its a 1946-48 English Tech. It was cheap and I didnt want to ask to many questions before it went. Could be a nice handle with some terrible head (wrapped in cello). A small gamble

Was hoping for a flat bottom but lucked out. Still very pleased for the price I payed

Here are some pics. My Tech was part of a kit. It looks brand new. I didn't realise the handle was so short though. Comes in at approx 73mm. Perfect travel size though! Going to shave with it in a while.

So... Had a shave. It's a very mild razor... I used a polsilver blade but after 3 passes I had to finish off with my Muhle r89 and the same polsilver blade. Hmmmm! A tad disappointed!

Late, Zamak cap Tech, a little harder to find the angle with those, put a Feather in it.
