I've just finished one (bought it on a whim about 6 months ago, before reading reviews). The lather is rather strange (gloopy, for want of a better word). The smell wasnt anything that special either...... disappointed, not to be repeated.

MWF, DRH, cyril Salter etc still offer great soaps!

I personally couldnt get on with MWF, but the other two are excellent soaps IMO. Great recommendations.

Im getting curious to give Trumpers another go, a mixture of wondering whether it was just inexperience and also thinking surely Trumpers wouldn't put out a sub standard product.

The Creams are excellent the soaps not so

If you got MWF between March 2020 and January 2021, it's likely you got a dud.

It was a well reported issue and it seems to have been resolved going by many user reports.
 
I think mine was before March 2020. I did hear about the issues you mentioned though. To be honest there are that many good soaps and creams out there, I personally wouldnt go back. I used it as a body soap.....not for me I'm afraid.

Bought a fougere (used ) for a decent deal recently and still waiting for its arrival! I think keeping an eye out on various bst for them to show up is key - if you don’t mind slightly used soap that is.

Saw couple times a pretty much full jar going for £20 but those got snatched quickly
 
I think geo f trumper themselves aren’t even trying to advertise their hard soaps.
last week I received a free sample pack as part of their social media campaign. In it there was 3 shaving cream samples, selection of their colognes (1-2ml size) , couple 10ml shower gels and 10ml of coral skin food…. I found it quite funny how there was no hard soap sample included seeing as they covered majority of other bases lol
