It's an interesting thread however all you end up with is a list of other people's favourite razors, it is rarther like asking what's your favourite blade or your favourite soap, everyone will give what they perceive to be their favourite, it dosent make every other persons answer invalid, we all like different things for different reasons.
There are very good new razors and also very good old razors and it dosent matter which side of the fence you stand on as long as you enjoy what you use.
The cost of a razor can often have no bearing on how good it will shave, it may shave very well indeed for one person but not for another.
This shaving lark is very subjective and I don't think anything can be gained by such a question, the main thing is that we enjoy what we enjoy for what ever reason.
