I love Dr.Feelgood
Love 'em, especially the early stuff with Wilco playing.
Other favourite groups: The Smiths, The Jam, The Skids, Pink Floyd, The Men They Couldn't Hang and many, many more.

Yeah most definitely. When they became The Pirates they kicked off the whole pub rock scene influencing many bands who would later be involved in the first wave or British punk. They are known as the godfathers of Punk.Quite understandably.Johnny kid & the pirates are one of timeless British rock 'n' roll bands that still sound fresh imo.R.I.P Johnny kid & Mick Green.I've never got into JK&TP other than the hits (but there's plenty of time yet!). Interesting connection to the pub rock and early post-punk scenes.
The scream & juju are my favourite lps by SATB.Such a difficult question to answer!
At the moment I'm revisiting Siouxsie and the Banshees but last week it was Opeth!
Next week, it could be Wes Montgomery!
However, consider this question...
What band do you not think of as a favourite, but seem to have stacks of their music, somehow?
Steely Dan sprang to mind!
Record shops..now we are going back in time.Agreed,a great album tooA Kiss in the Dreamhouse has always been my favourite-I remember running out to buy it at my local record shop (remember them), and the sneery Yes fan that worked there acknowledged my purchase with "great drums". I promptly left it on the bus and had to buy another one, to which the sarky git said "still great drums"!
I like Black Sabbath & the first two Iron Maiden albums.Don't mind some Metallica when I hear it.If I had to pick one it would be Metallica, Master of Puppets is one of my all-time favourite albums.
Very honourable mentions to Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Disturbed and Halestorm.
Like the question. That would be REM for me. Have everything of theirs, not my favourite band though.Such a difficult question to answer!
