Take it out, pat it dry, wipe the razor, let stand for a few hours to cool and release any stresses, reassemble loosly. Seems to work.
I question the amount of shaves that get reported. If you make one pass, is that one shave? Are two passes still just one shave or two shaves? How about three? I always do more than one, so should I be really happy about how many I get? Counting on the upper end, last week, I got 18 off a Voshkod!
Another thing, general advice is "Do Not Wipe Blade!" But the sharpness tests show that most blades become sharper after the first use, theory being the coating is worn off. Gillette says good shaves are a result of the coatings. A straight razor is claimed to give the "best" shave. However, a straight razor is honed, stropped and wiped many, many times, and I've yet to hear about coating one of them. Maybe that's a secret until you've passed your initiation.
