Creams for silvertip/shaving bowl use

My faves at the moment are :

Taylors Almond and Proraso. I must say that Proraso has edged ahead as my 'go to' cream.I find it lathers very easily and the slickness/protection offered is second to none.
I also love the monthol blast it gives me afterwards, more so when using the pre/post cream. To be honest as a complete shave regime proraso pre/post,cream,pre/post then A/S splash really is hard to beat.
I see you have another post with regard to soaps so if you pm your address I will post some samples out to you and let you try a couple of different products without having to spend.

The trumpers creams work well for me with a EJ silvertip and bowl. The rose creates a very volumionous lather that is great with the big floppy brush, not too heavy to bog it down. The coconut oil cream works well too bit is a little heavier.
I find T&H 1805 needs a slightliy stiffer brush and creates slightly less lather that is not so good with the S tip.

I'm with Boab regarding Proraso, its hard to beat for the price & the freeze effect is tops. you could also try;

Musgo Real
Ol Melhor
Veleiro all of these are Portuguese & contain lanolin & they are good value for money.

Fitjar from Norway are great creams, excellent moisturizing affect.
Fozz

Im currently underfoing a love affair with the palmolive cream.. for a cheap cream i think its the absolut tops.. and lathers really really well.

So the complete proraso shaving regime is:

Pre and post shave cream PZ1000
Shaving cream PZ1002
After shave PZ4000

Is that what you meant?

I guess that's really going for the proraso experience. I really enjoyed the shaving cream sample you sent me. Is the full package a poplular choice here?

When I go for the full on proraso hit I put the proraso pre post on when I am in the shower, leave it on while I dry off and then build the lather (now on face rather than bowl) I finish with alum then proraso pre/post and after it dries I put on some A/S splash.Zing!!!!!
Face feel likes a million dollars afterwards. The pre/post cream really gives you a menthol kick.I also find it excellent as a pre shave, really softens the bristles on my chin/neck.I feel it also gives extra protection and slickness.Glad you enjoyed the samples. The blades in the plain paper are Kai's

Thanks Boab

I'll put it on my list of things to try. I'm obviously picking up many ideas now. I loved the Tabac soap/after shave combination. The proraso offers the same approach. Seems a bit daft to have a scented cream and not follow with something that blends well with it. Going to try the Taylors Almond tomorrow - wonder what after shave would go well with that. And so it goes on.........
