I am interested in compiling a list of each users favourite Double Edge Blade. I was thinking it would be interesting to try to try at least 1 of each person's favourite blade and compare their comments to my own thoughts.

So please post below your favourite blade so far, you may for this only choose one, if your favourite depends on the razor you use it in, please try to pick your favourite Razor and blade combination.

Yes I had seen this post but I was looking for something much more specific

Mine are the UK Made Wilkinson sword blades partnered with an aluminium handled Gillette tech (they cost peanuts on eBay) and this combo gives me a guaranteed super smooth shave with no dramas. The blades aren't too easy to come by, but you can get them on eBay, plus they last ages!

I love quite a few vintage blades, but the UK Wilkinson sword are up at the top. Far better than modern steel!

There is no "more specific", just subjective opinions re blades, soaps, razors & brushes.

Lab Blues or Med Preps at the moment I think they are the same blade (Some disagree). That said one thing I have found is as my technique developed I can get a presentable shave from most.

Personna med prep* - smooth, sharp, last well, no pesky glue. Having tried plenty of blades I just use these now.

*labs may be the same blade, to me they're equally good.
