Yaqi Synthetic Shaving Brushes

It actually does help :) Is DS Cosmetic similar like Yaqi brushes? I haven't heard of them before, but they seem to have some nice ones as well. For now I'm just waiting a couple of days until I make the decision.

But I must say, these Chinese synthetic brushes seem to have greatly improved and I don't even consider Badger anymore. They are cruelly killed in order, to provide the hair for brushes.
I believe that DS and Yaqi use the same, or atleast very similar knots and the quality of the brush handles are identical, honestly the prices are so cheap that I think you wouldn't go wrong with whichever brush/brushes you buy. If you're considering purchasing from AliExpress be aware that some users have had problems with their cards (I haven't personally) but I did cancel my card incase.

On the bright side, if you find a brush your not so keen on, I bet it would be easy to shift here on the BST when it re-opens.

I hate selling, so I rather think my purchase very thoroughly. But I don't believe these Yaqi brushes in anyway could be a misbuy. For non-shaving stuff I even have been giving used stuff, like an airfryer away for free.

That's also why I'm still sticking with mine stockpile of shaving stuff, acquired in the past. Because I find selling a big hassle.

I promised myself not to order anything non-essential during the lock down ....
However, having a bit of credit left on my PayPal account I bought the Yaqi Rainbow 26mm - and how good a brush it is! Looks nice and performs well. Gave it a try with a cream I wasn't too impressed about, Old Spice Original, but it created a fantastic lather. Have already retired the old badger brush into my travel bag.

Like some others, I too have 5 Yaqi synthetic brushes...and one of them is the Rainbow, 26mm Pony knot.
It's the one I most reach for. Truly a very nice brush.
My second choice is the Evil Zebra, 26mm Snow Leopard knot. It's a good brush too. Plus, it's hard not too like something called 'Evil Zebra'.

I have a few brushes.

- THREE Savemac
- Two Edwin Yager
- Four Semogue
- A Muhler
- An Omega 48, knot 29
- EUROSTIL bristle hair
- A very good Artisan "EL DRUIDA"

- Some more between ZENITH and WILKINSON, in addition to some vintage.

- About Five Yaqi, including two Rainbow Yaqi.

The one I use the most right now is a Rainbow. I froth in a green Salad bowl and when I finish shaving, I don't clean it and the Brush (only the Rainbow) doesn't either.

Like many have said, I have a number of Yaqi brushes majority synths, but a best Badger too. All are fabulous and worth the price every time. I shave my head so love the big knots, 28-30. They're incredible at building huge lather. I have sla host of smaller knots and they are also superb. So many lovely handles to choose from. If I could highlight one recommendation it would be the timber wolf. It's all round beautiful and capable. Love it dearly. Check out my vid reviewing it

Yaqi brushes are exceptional, in not just the value for money department, but also how they perform to.

All the brushes I own are synthetic. Some cost in the £50 to £60 range. The Yaqi brushes outperform them easily. I own the Yaqi Mysterious Space brush, which has a 26mm Tuxedo knot. It's incredibly soft, has the perfect amount of backbones, and it is a lather monster. It whips up any soap I've tried it with, with ease and creates lots of lather. It works exceptionally with either face lathering or bowl lathering. The handle is pretty long/tall, and I find the perfect shape to hold, it's very ergonomic and looks beautiful. As soon as I seen the handle, I immediately was drawn to it.

And to top it off, it only cost me around £18.

I think I'm definitely convinced, just I don't know yet which handle I'm going choose and to be honest: I'm hoping on some kind of discount, so haven't placed my order yet

I saw some of the brushes don't get any discount at all, while others do from time to time. This data is available with Aliprice app.

I never knew that. Where can you find the price history?

You may have just revolutionised the way I shop for Chinese tat!

I just now ordered a Yaqi Rainbow Brush for € 3,90 including shipment from Spain: it was a very limited offer, because right after placing my order it was already gone and only available from China.

Well I'm happy nevertheless, because I found € 14 a bit much for a mass produced synthetic shaving brush. But at € 4 it's really a good bargain price, and I guess that's why it was so limited.

They have more than 500 pieces on stock in China, but only put like 10 pieces I suppose into the very low sale price. Very smart move I would suppose: because people spread the word, and in the end people will pay € 14 anyway. Even if this one bloke on the internet forum, got it for € 4 including shipment.

Because else people would stop buying proraso at € 10 as well, realising it's only € 2/3 in Italy. Although it would stop me hahahaha, but I'm a very frugal person.
