WTF

looks like the cartridge generation are getting pissed off with blade life/cost but instead of turning to the traditional wet shaving equipment (too old fashioned i suppose) they've invented this gimick to keep them in sharps

or not?

But can that not only make contact with one side of the blades?

I have read of people stropping DE blades on a beer or wine glass to lengthen their lives a bit, but that was in WWII when there was ratiuoning and shortages.

as it's silicone it could only 'clean' the blade, it's not abrasive enough to do any kind of sharpening, a mild stropping effect is probably all it'll manage.

this can also be acheived with hand stropping, although i'm not convinced on the merits of this

some of the claims made in the review section are pretty outlandish, hence a severe amount of scepticism on my part

I find it impossible to believe this would extend the life of a blade to '150' shaves or a 'year'! Wonder what kind of lab testing they did to reach those conclusions?

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. All the reviews were 5*. Even the best products aren't perfect and don't suit everybody and every situation.

er PC, I think you mean YMMV

Wow, thanks Paul, what a succinct way of paraphrasing such a clumsy statement. I think we should adopt YMMV for almost every possible situation, especially when recommending something without having the courage of our convictions.

I had seen this before and to be honest I expected to find it in a Betterware Catalogue but it is amazing what people will buy with the backing of what looks like a professional site.

I mean it’s only £20, if you don’t know any different at around £10 a pack of cartridges this might not seem such a daft idea.

Did you read the comments?

Great Value - Great Product

"I've had a razorpit for about a month now and I have to say - WOW! I'm still using the same razor!! No longer will I be buying those expensive blades every month. I have recommend the Razorpit to all my friends and will continue to do so. Great Stuff" - Scotty G

There are some more funnies in there. Well worth a read

I have bought from this site before. They had a very good offer on T&H Trafalgar aftershave so I snapped up three for gifts. But there are some bizarre things on there. Imagine what you could buy with the money you didn't spend on this:

I have also bought from them and was tempted to shell out for an expensive merkur a couple of years ago and to be fair it was that which prompted me to start researching DE shaving. The rest they say is history, sigh now I've spent twice as much on 'products' :D wouldn't have it any other way.

My eyes are burning after looking at that :?

You are right though they do have some good stuff and now and again soem good deals, it's on the back of that they can sell the razorpit and the item above. "These guys know what they are doing so it must be good or they wouldn't sell it" kind of thinking.

I think Rousey won one of these, am I mistaken? is it a different Rousey?

Only just got back to this thread now Pig Cat :(

There is a site I know (can't tell you or I'd have to kill you) that uses YMMV a lot. I'd be wary of using it because I'd be worried that they might sue us if they hold copyright on the said acronym :?:

Now that wouldn't actually surprise me!
