I picked up a mint set the other day, completely box fresh and unused ...

I was so looking forward to it, and shaved with it last night: http://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/forum/thread-27479-post-381542.html#pid381542

Sadly, it didn't work out especially well for me with a rare sight of a fields of weepers.

Any other Wilko Bonded owners?

I am a new owner (picked up today from sorting office; sitting in its packaging now beside me in a café). I was tempted to bid on yours but picked up one in a different box a lot cheaper. Hope I fair better and hope it improves for you next time

It might well just be down to the old blades and a second shave will be dramatically improved.

For looks, it's a cracker! For how it works, excellent! You can see why Gillette took one look at it and just had to do that for themselves ...

Best of luck with yours. I'd be intrigued to hear how you get on.

I'll be giving it a go tomorrow and will post on sotd. I loaded a cartridge and it feels a little insecure, like it's connected in the middle only and left it a bit wobbly at each end. I will tread carefully with it!

I've had another go with this in recent days and I'm happy to say that my initial frustrations were simply down to a passing case of noobitis ...

It's all in the angle, you know. I know ... I know ... slate a razor and then find it was you, all along, not getting the angle right when ... and here's the kick in crotch: the angle is pre-defined for you by the manufacturer. Like injectors, this razor is simply a case of putting the head up to your face and putting the flat bit on skin and drawing down. Done like that it works a treat.

Given this was the first (THE first) cartridge razor, it's quite a treat to shave with one.
