Where to purchase a Dovo in Glasgow?

Used to buy all my traditional shaving gear from "The Perfect Shave" In Glasgow's Princes Square. Sadly this little treasure trove of a shop is no more. Would love to purchase another Dovo or perhaps even a Thiers_Issard, any stockists in Glasgow or outllying towns and cities like Edinburgh or Paisley? as a last reosrt I will probably buy from The English Shaving Company.

Thanks hunnymonster, saw The Groom Room advertised in GQ magazine. There used to be a place in Argyll St in Glasgow that sold Dovo shaving gear, straights etc, alongside crossbows, knives, daggers sword etc.

Good value here?

In "Sharp Practive: The Real Man's Guide To Shaving" - the book I started this adventure off with - he recommends two makes of blade only. Thiers-Issard and Dovo of Solingen.

I've never seen a TI for sale anywhere apart from The Invisible Edge, and I'm not paying those prices. Are they really rare, these razors?

EDIT - BTW, I've since come to realise that there are more than two makes of blade that are worth having. But I think I'd kinda like a TI.

Further afield there are TI, and other razors here.

However the euro is strong at the moment so these aren't that cheap.

Have you considered an older blade with a nice new edge put on it?

Neil's got some lovely one's on his site here, or even a few new straights here - he'll hone the new ones for an extra tenner - and as mentioned there are some nice ones floating around the classifieds of the shaving sites. I've got a shave ready vintage Sheffield wedge on the way for about £50.

I'm in Glasgow too but I've pretty much given up on any straight supplies here, I'm happy enough to find brushes, creams, soaps etc in the shops and hunt online for razors and straight specific supplies.

Thanks for that! For members of this board, I'll hone the new ones free of charge - just mention the Shaving Room and whether you want the razor honed.

All the Best,
Neil.

I am definitely considering Neil a call, the more I get to know this messageboard the more I realise that the items I want are already available on this website. Will persuse Neil's "Aladdin's cave" later on tnnight. :D
