What Watch Are You Wearing Today?

Just ordered an Orient Mako 2 to alternate with my Vostok 710, which I like a lot. Interesting to see how they compare. Also thinking about adding a shark mesh bracelet. Any thoughts?

Orient Mako is on my wish list... I know they are searched for... but there's always a little Russian one around which I HAVE to order...... lol!

I don't like shark mesh straps (nor metal bracelets in general), that's a personal preference, can't explain why. I find them "depilatory" gizmos if you follow me...:D!! Anyway I think a shark mesh would be perfect with a 710 (one of my favourite cases as well!).

Know what you mean about metal bracelets. Not my favorite either. Back in the greedy Nineties seemed like everyone (think Vampires on Wall Street) who had 2 nickels to rub together wore a Rolex with a steel and gold bracelet.

Guess I just discovered shark mesh bracelets and never considered them before. And, you are right about one looking good on a Orient Amphibia 710, comfort aside. Also recently discovered Perlon straps and think they may be another option for a Scuba Dude.

Yup... those Nineties... brrrr.

The Baikonur (150 case) came home with its original mesh shark... and it looked good.. but...in the end I changed it. Maybe one day I'll try it again... (first pic from the internet)

I still haven't tried Perlon... they look nice. As for comfort, I find rubber-silicone extremely comfortable! Or nylon!

Beautiful watch! That watch would look good with any strap. Like the black one. The classic rubber-silicon diver is also an excellent choice.

Recently discovered Watchbandit. They seem to have nice stuff and are located in Berlin, so delivery should be fast and no hassle with ITV.

Thanks!

I'll have a look at that strap shop, thanks. You know cheapestnatostraps? The lady is in Sweden... huge variety, excellent value for money (yet, for leather straps I prefer WatchGecko... or Hirsch...)... and sometimes they have sales... like a strap for a couple of bucks..

Thanks for that good information. The lady in Sweden has nice straps and her prices seem reasonable. BTW is there anyone in Spain who sells these kind of things? There seems to be enough places for people interested in fountain pens and coffee gear.

I don't know any Spanish shop AFAIK. There used to be a couple of 'artisans' in a Spanish watches forum (relojes especiales) but not anymore... Pity...

Erika's originals makes Marine National straps.
Great looking straps. Thanks. See you live in Valencia. Lived there for a year and loved it. Be there today but for the heat.
