I am so glad I am not into watches...it could become very expensive :-(
It is worthy because you can watch all day at second hand gliding around and admire the details and beauty of time piece. With expensive razors you only get about 20 minutes of joy. There are lot of inexpensive mechanical watches from different manufacturers that can cover wide area of usability and looks.

Ah, Juan Manuel, Juan Manuel, tis a gift of Spanish men to cause the ladies to roll their eyes in delight !
My wife has only to hear the words "Antonio Banderas". Even better were they said in a Spanish accent.

Johnny0. o/.
Hehe... I am afraid my wife does not roll her eyes in delight when I produce another watch...

Suppose you have a perfect Spanish accent... You should!

Just ordered an Orient Mako 2 to alternate with my Vostok 710, which I like a lot. Interesting to see how they compare. Also thinking about adding a shark mesh bracelet. Any thoughts?
Orient Mako is on my wish list... I know they are searched for... but there's always a little Russian one around which I HAVE to order...... lol!

I don't like shark mesh straps (nor metal bracelets in general), that's a personal preference, can't explain why. I find them "depilatory" gizmos if you follow me...:D!! Anyway I think a shark mesh would be perfect with a 710 (one of my favourite cases as well!).

Know what you mean about metal bracelets. Not my favorite either. Back in the greedy Nineties seemed like everyone (think Vampires on Wall Street) who had 2 nickels to rub together wore a Rolex with a steel and gold bracelet.

Guess I just discovered shark mesh bracelets and never considered them before. And, you are right about one looking good on a Orient Amphibia 710, comfort aside. Also recently discovered Perlon straps and think they may be another option for a Scuba Dude.
