What made your day a good one

Been doing proper man-things today, although should have been at an OU tutorial - but the train got shit-canned. Took stuff to tip, dropped off stuff at charity shop, been in loft, put an Ikea dressing table together and spent some time in garage........umm.....ironing.

I always describe it as " pressing my kit " MM, same thing but I somehow feel better about calling it that !

Strange, innit? The years on your mortgage are not necessarily indicative of the number of years you have left to live. Take me for instance, I'm at somewhere in the region of -20.

Each year I try and set myself a goal of learning/doing something new, so today I went for my first (and not the last) visit to an indoor climbing centre. A friend sent out a generic invite to a group of us and I thought what the hell, I even managed to get to the top on a level 4 climb. I thought I did well for an unfit 14 1/2 stone bloke with a dodgy knee.

There was a time, Paul, when people actually spoke to each other - allegedly. Interdepartmental cooperation - but I have my doubts as to veracity.

Oh, I always begin with talking. Technical faults are always as a result of human action - talk to the human and you'll fix the machine. The technical issue was genuinely a case of "people unable to talk to each other because people were unable to talk to each other". I fixed the latter, so now the former can happen :D

Punch in the air! Again!

Fathoming a DNS issue between <domain>.nhs.uk and <domain>.gov.uk being the fault of DNSsec with internally certificated servers on the gov.uk side without reference on the nhs.uk side. Who thought it was a good idea to merge health and social care?

Proper punch in the air when I nailed it :D
Did you try rebooting first?
