What made your day a good one

I wouldn't say it was not popular, there are many among us that like Tabac in all it's form's, you got yourself a good deal there. :)

Paul.
That is quite true. It certainly appears to have some loyal fans on here, myself included. I was in Boots again yesterday and I noticed that they only had one bottle of Tabac left, so it seems as though there are others in my town that also like it. It seems to be selling well since it has been on offer, anyway.

I apologise for being so judgemental in my post. It was unintentional.

No need for any apologies, all good :)

A while ago, my local branch of Boots ran out of their stock of Jovan Musk aftershave. I like this aftershave, and it is one of my regular everyday ones. Anyway, I didn't think that I would be able to ever buy it again, as the shop didn't have any more of it in for weeks and weeks, and I assumed that they had stopped selling it.

I went in there again today for some more shampoo and, to my absolute delight, they had another stock of Jovan Musk! So, I was able to buy another bottle, and it means that I won't have to stop using it! I had given up hope of finding it again, and I thought that I would have to say goodbye to it, until now. I hope that it won't take so long again to get more if they run out of stock of it again. I do love Jovan Musk!

This has REALLY made my day a good one today! I am so chuffed!!

Never give up hope.
I'm pleased that you are chuffed! :)

I am not sure whether to post this in Acquisitions, Brush of the Day or What made your day a good one? but I found this thread first and it seems appropriate.

A while back, I commented on a post by Dave in KY about how nice his Rubberset 400s were.

This morning, pretty much unbeknownst to me, and with the aiding and abetting by other fine gentlemen here, this arrived in the post!
What a lovely surprise and how awesome a fellow is Dave? He had been looking out for one for me, and not only found one, he cleaned it up, included a lovely Oumo boar knot in it plus a ferrule in case I want to try something else too, and posted it all the way from Kentucky to me in the UK. As a surprise. I'm gobsmacked, thank you so much Dave.

Pride of the den now!

Absolutely super. What a generous and kind hearted gesture from who I see as being a lovely man

2 of my chickens got out today, spent a couple of hours searching neighbouring gardens and was just about to give up but had another look in a garden 2 doors away, what do I see, 2 chickens perching on the fence looking at me as if to say "what", used a fishing net to catch them then into a cardboard box.
They all now have clipped wings, seen them try to fly now and they look like drunk pilots pulling to the right all the time then giving up.
Will have to clip them again as they are starting to go through a molt.
Glad to have found them though.(y)

The world is a bit rubbish at the moment, and today the weather has been utterly dreadful - but I cannot stop being amazed by what Kevin Sinfield is doing for his mate, Rob Borrow & raising money for MND research. An incredibly humble person. Makes me think I should try a bit harder at something. Check out clips of him being interviewed after running 40 miles today. Unbelievable. I hope to cheer him along when he passes this corner of Yorkshire later in the week.

This morning, I replaced the blade on my Gillette Mach 3 razor. I was then actually able to have a shave WITHOUT cutting myself. I can usually remain pretty confident that I will cut myself with a new blade, because I usually do, but not today. So, today has been a good day, purely because my razor was my friend again!

I always tend to cut myself if I am going out that day also, but I haven't been anywhere today. Tomorrow, I have got to pop out, so time will tell if my shave is as good then as it was today. I am not too optimistic.

Out of the blue, receiving a couple of tucks of Polsilver Lodz and some Supermax blades from a damn decent member of this forum. Not only does it show this member has a heart of gold, but also a reflection on how damn fine this forum and its members really are.

You're a star, you're all stars
Well damn, just damn, damn it all!

Well, This was a bad day a few month back :(,

My Dads engagement / wedding ring, passed on to me, it just say fit my RH pinky finger as the ring was a "U" fitting and my pinky being a "V". One day it just popped.
Mrs TC put in her rings for cleaning and i enquired about a repair and resize.
Today i picked it up. Resized to a "Z & 1/2" to fit my RH ring finger, i know Gorilla mitts.
