What do people think of the Rockwell 6c/s

Coming back to this thread, I wouldn't buy a Rockwell. 6C has reliability issues with the zamak handle, 6S is too heavy, at least for me. I would invest in a Karve OC system. All brass and great reviews.

I love weighty razors, I have hands like a gorilla so the weight seems to help me, also I just let the weight do the work without any pressure at all, giving a gentle shave. I think the 6S is a fantastic Razor and will feature in my rotation regularly.

I have had both a 6c and Karve both good razors.

It is purely personal as we like what we like I found them different , the Rockwell for me has more weight in the head, the Karve which is weighty but I would say the weight is more central.

Just depends what you like, I like the Karve feel as feel more nimble to me.

If the Rockwell was available only in the zamak/chrome version, then I'd probably get one of those, but, as the choice is between that and the stainless, my choice every time would be the stainless. There have been some problems reported with the top cap-handle screw fitting failing on the C.
Although the Rockwell thread is 10-32 SAE, the usual M5 handle thread will work on it, if care is taken with threading and tightening it, and weight/balance variations are thus possible, to suit individual preferences. I like mine as it is.

I have to agree here. I have never really got the point of of any kind of adjustable. Get one damn good razor which keeps you happy and Stick with it.

Technically speaking, one could find their ideal setting on the Rockwell and bin the remaining plates.

The entire point of an adjustable is not only to change settings on the fly but to find the setting that best suits an individual.

I don't change settings on the progress, Rockwell, Karve etc. I stick with what works for me.
