Unusual to recommend a book before I have finished it - but this is lovely - rustic psycho-geography - how much metaphysical conjuring can you do on the subject of catching moles? Quite a lot apparently. Like snakes - and for the same reason - there are no moles in Ireland - we are told. Equally - it is the life testament of the author - compelling. I'm rationing it. Always the sign of a good book. On the right - my chosen bookmark for this volume. Yours - I.

So I finished my Gervase Phinn book.
And wondered what else to read...
So.....
I GOT A KINDLE.......
Lots of free books, however. So far the book that I'm reading is irritating me due to the fact that the author can only describe disbelief, disagreement, not understanding etc with one type of phrase.... "he said 'shaking his head,'" "she shook her head" "shaking his head he......"
Come on, your an author, think of some new phrases.
I swear, in one chapter in the space of 3 paragraphs they'd used the same phrase 4 times.
