What are you listening to?

Jerry Lee Lewis - 'Live at the Star Club Hamburg,' - 1964 - although from his 'wilderness' years - after he wrecked his career by marrying his 13 year old cousin in 1958 - this is Lewis at his best - it is routinely cited as one of the best live albums ever recorded - the virtuosity and energy of his performance are astonishing - his stage presence is spell binding - every inch the maniac he was - and probably still - remarkably he is still alive - you have to feel sorry for his band though - trying to second guess his somewhat arbitrary approach to keeping tempo - a remarkable album. On Spotify - you can find it - but it isn't the whole set - for that you need - 'The Killer Live - 1964 to 1970.' Cheers - I.
