4.5 hours turkey drumstick on the offset smoker
Brined over 24 hours in apple salt peppercorns and brown sugar.
With a basic salt pepper and garlic rub
Got the smoker upto 275°f running lumpcharcoal cherry and apple wood chunks then spritzed every 45mins with apple juice honey and cider vinegar.
Brought them upto 185°f the they rested for 30mins.
Succulent, juicy and very tasty not perfect but this is the first test of many over the next couple of weeks.

Yum! That looks really good! Simple, yet very tasty.
Thank you. My girlfriend knocks my 15 minute rule if I cook during the week. I have to admit I am lazy:
Steak Pie and microwave mash
Oven cooked Sausages and microwave mash
Lamb chops and microwaved steamed new potatoes

My pièce de résistance, Ham, Egg and Chips - from the Chippy...

Not as lazy as me! I had a bowl of porridge with peanut butter zapped for 3 min in the microwave ! Very nice though :) P.

Half rack of Sainsbury's sweet honey BBQ ribs with corn on the cob. I can't wait for round two tomorrow, although I will microwave the sweetcorn tomorrow...
