In my Merchant Navy days I would have bought a case, partied through the night and tomorrow and had a cabin party after. Unfortunately those days are gone now .

Yea, same for me, worked in an officers mess for a while. Used to take a case of beer in to work to keep us going untill the officers bar opened up later in the evening. There was 3 of us, we used to take turns to bring in the beer. 40 pence pints in the mess were just too tempting.

Big Drop Galactic Milk Stout
I gave up drinking alcohol a couple (or more) years ago but I still enjoy a beer every now and again. There's a new breed of zero alcohol beer and Big Drop is probably the best. This stout is stunning!

I think it is fine line pint or 2 and you are less inhibited so play better , but there is definitely a tipping point.Half a litre or so of Jack Daniels last night, accompanied by my amateurish learner guitar twanging. Alcohol does not make you better, just more enthusiastic.

Yes I think you're right. I noticed after a drink or two I seemed to get slightly better, for want of a better word. Then it was over confidence and inventing new chords.

American beers IPA home brew, I have brewed this kit numerous times, its a cracker, tastes like punk IPA but better. I had a taste test at a friends house with half a dozen others, with goose island, punk and home brew, they all agreed mine was better, it might have been because it was free though. . Going to have to get a routine going to make sure I always have a stock on hand.
Its About 5.5 to 6 abv so it's not a 10 pinter
