Keep your old 15 yrd Glendonach; I have one unopened - the new 15 yr old is a different whisky - more rounded.

The Manager's cask is the best!

Hmm, maybe I'll hold onto them for a while longer and see what happens in terms of reviews and value of older bottlings. I notice that they're now Oloroso and PX cask where previously it was Oloroso only. I know I preferred the 15 to the 18 but whether that was down to the Oloroso-only maturation or that for me the whisky simply peaked at 15 I don't know. The fact that the distillery confirmed that the old bottlings of 15 contained older whisky may suggest the former.

I have about 2/3 of a bottle from the Manager's Cask, it only comes out occasionally.

Glenfarclas 15 is excellent too.

+1 on the Glenfarclas - I used to stay in Glenlivit; loved the journey to nursery going past the Glan farclas - ot looked beautiful in the sunlight!
 
Holy Mary mother of God, Swimming Giants by Burnt Mill & Finback is incredible. Having read the existing reports on this beer, I had high expectations for sure, but I was not prepared for the magnitude of this beer. It starts with wonderfully wheaty hop aromas, and once you taste it, you get peach, nectarine and more before the sensational hops march majestically over your tongue. It mellows to a bitter sweet finish that is without question up there with the very best beer that money can buy. It hides the 8% abv well, the titanic levels of flavour and thick mouthcoating texture stand right in front.
