What A Razor!

I don't usually post on the message boards but felt that I really must make my observations known on my most recent razor purchase. Like most of us, I've always been on the lookout for the 'holy grail' razor that will give me that perfect shave. Close, smooth and irritation free and one that can be used on a regular basis. In my case 4-5 times per week. I think I've found it it the Outlaw razor from Executive Shaving.

I'd read the publicity about 2 passes being more than adequate with the Outlaw and to be honest, I tried to ignore those voices persuading me to bite the bullet and order one. I managed to fight off the cravings for a few days then decided that I had to have one. Boy, am I glad that I did. Having received my Outlaw last week and having shaved with it on 3 occasions thus far, I can honestly say that this is THE one.

Paired with a Nacet blade I've had the best 3 shaves that I can ever remember and cannot praise the Outlaw highly enough . It is just a fantastic piece of kit that looks great and shaves like a dream. In fact, just one pass now gives me a more than adequate shave with which to face the day. Two passes and the result is a smooth, close, clean finish that just feels wonderful.

I might be having a bit of a sale on my other razors after this as I'm not sure that I'll ever need another one ever again.

It's great you have found "the one", "the razor of all razors," "your grail razor" fantastic news! :)
I'm now looking forward to seeing all your other razors appearing on BST sometime soon :) P.

Until the next one ;)

Shave and enjoy

Those executive shaving razors seem fantastic in general though. I got the Braveheart head fro something stupid like 15 quid and I just swap between that and my EJ head...
The Braveheart is also very efficient and pretty smooth!
I really only have one and a half razors but they cover a lot of ground!

The Outlaw is manufactured in China (potentially Hong Kong as that's where Steve who owns Alpha lives). Probably the same machine shop that makes the other Alpha products. @Vlasta will be able to confirm this though. It's a lovely looking razor. I currently have the Outlaw handle on its way to me from Hong Kong, via Steve, as I type.

Congratulations Colina, I'm glad you found the one for you.

Can I ask what razors you tried before? And do you get BBS on two passes?

Hi. I'm getting as close to BBS in 2 passes with the Outlaw as makes no difference. It really has been that good so far. I shaved this morning and apart from a minor touch up along the jawline 2 passes left me extremely smooth. The shave is in màny ways similar to the Muhle Rocca but closer. I've a fair collection of D/E and S/E razors and can honestly say thàt the Outlaw is now my firm favourite. As ever, YMMV.
