What are the brown spots on the corners and doors of my gillette slim? Is there anything I can do to remove this?

Looks like "tea stains" caused by an old blade being left in the razor whilst wet, the rust transfers from the blade to the razor. Usually comes off with a scrub using a toothbrush and some washing up liquid.

This was my initial thought when I received the razor, I scrubbed it with an old tooth brush and liquid hand soap and warm water to no avail. The razor was already cleaned in an ultrasonic cleanser before shipped so I'd already thought it wouldn't get it any better condition than is.

Have you tried a toothbrush and toothpaste?
I find that the slight abrasive quality of toothpaste tends to clean up excellent.
If not... Try leaving it in some white vinegar for a half hour or so... Then give it another scrub. Not only does vinegar have a sterilising action it also helps with rust removal.
