Vulfix 404 Grosvenor Mixed Badger and Boar Shaving Brush

Getting one for my Dad, it's his birthday in March. I noticed recently that he has some Body Shop Maca Root cream and some kind of cartridge razor, but no brush. I know I'll never convince him to change his razor, but hopefully he can whip up that lovely Maca Root in to a decent lather with this brush. God knows what he's doing at the moment - just smearing it on his face I suppose. :?

My 404 arrived from Diamond Edge together with a pair of their drip stands-- very good value at £2:00 a pop.

Getting used to the brush. It shed one or two of the bristles at first and then has settled down.
Part of my regular rotation.

I cant add more to what have been written.Following Fidos, Fozz77 and Antdads recommendations I got a 404 about a month ago and I couldn't be happier with it.I paid 12 euros, including shipping, since Im not living in the EU anymore so I dont have to pay VAT.The brush took less than a week to arrive to USA and since then I haven been using it in regular basis. It was really scrubby the first times I shaved with it after a couple break in sessions, but after a week became really soft with a hint of scrubbinest that I really enjoy. Its much softer than any of the pure and best badger brushes that I own and I find it perfect for facelathering but performs excellent too with bowlathering. The handle its really well made, pretty sturdy and heavy, and with a excellent ergonomic. For its price its possibily one of the best shaving brushes you can get with the Omega 80265 and the Semogue 1305.
If you are on a tight budget but wanna enjoy a really well made shaving brush, suitable to use with hard soaps and creams, for facelathering and making lather on a bowl, get a Vulfix 404 mixed boar and badger:you wont regret it.

I have just received my 404 today.

Wow, what a brush! I was a bit put off boar hair brushes after using a wilkinson sword boar. After hearing Fido's thoughts on his blog, I thought it's worth a punt.

I got mine from Nanny's so a bit more then what you guys paid but I was ordering some stuff for my girlfriend from there anyway.

Comparing it to my ej best badger, this thing gives right amount scritch, a nice back bone which is what I was craving for after having a floppy ej brush (it's a nice brush, just for bowl lathering IMO).

Its actually put me off getting a nice posh badger now! But does intrigue me into looking into Semogue and Omega boars now. I may be turning into a boar lover into the future, only time will tell....

I got one of these the other day in John Lewis. I paid £6.50. So much better than the brush I was using (a Wilkinson Sword brush). Happy days.

I've seen them selling for £12.90 on one website.

Are you sure that's not a 404 boar brush you bought rather than the 404 mixed?

I've just ordered one. I cannot resist any longer!! Bought one for my Dad last year and at the time it seemed a bit small, but guess I'll get used to it. I haven't heard a single bad word about the thing and so I have to try it for myself.

Bloody enablers, every b*stard one of you!!!!

This brush isn't really a surprise revelation is it PC? Don't mistake a great value brush with a great brush, it's a fair brush but great value.

Well I've known about it for a long time. As I said I bought my Dad one nearly a year ago, but just reading this thread has made me want one for myself. I don't see my Dad that often and he mainly comes here so the opportunity to try it hasn't arisen. I just thought that I should find out what all the fuss is about. :D
