Voskhod Teflon Coated Blades

So I was given a Voskhod Blade to try and I was hugely disappointed with the blade, it felt like dragging a rusty sickle over my face in my Merkur and even after three passes and lots of nicks a very unhappy experience, the razor was giving me amazing shaves with the 7o'clock, but I thought I would give the Voskhod one las go in the Parker 99 and what a difference, I could hardly believe it was the same blade, so explanations guys?

I wonder if it could be because the Merkur has a three pin design for holding the blade in place and the Parker has a bar?

I use a Feather AS-D2 exclusively now and I'm experimenting with various blades to find my preference before making a bulk purchase. I find the Voskhod to be a good match, it doesn't give as close a shave as a Feather blade but it is buttery smooth, I find it almost impossible to get nicks. I do find it even smoother on 2nd and 3rd shaves, after 4 I bin it regardless. I do find that because it doesn't shave as close I need to shave every day but that gives me an excuse to use my soap stock up. If I could find a slightly sharper blade that is just as smooth that would be blade perfection, still searching but Voskhod is top of my table so far.

I love them. Work perfectly in my Karve.
They don't seem to have the longevity of my others such a Nacet or Silver Blue, but I'm not someone who is bothered about gaining many shaves from a blade, I change the blade each week.

Great blades. After with @Mbarn about their longevity but they've performed well for me in each razor I've tried them in so far. QA wise, the Moscow factory is not as good as St Petersburg so there's reports of occasional dud blades in packs
