Vintage Schick Razor Stand?

Hi everyone...

I have to whisper as I don't want the Mrs. to listen in...

I think I'm on the brink of falling in to the Schick Rabbit Hole. I'm doing my best to be as selective and purposeful as possible (no impulse purchases... at least so far...). I've got an 'L' Type, a newly acquired 'G' Type, and an 'M' Type on the way. I'm now looking for individual stands for these.

I'm not interested in conventional stands which require the head to be held (too much potential for premature plate wear). So I'm mostly looking for an inkwell-like solution (although I am open-minded to other viable options). I'm not adverse to a 3D printed solution, but I either don't have the experience to create the file, or cannot find a viable solution on Thingiverse. I've done a cursory search or eBay and Etsy to no avail, as the majority of stands accommodate DE Razors or Cartridge Razors which are not compatible with my Schick Razors (I know having made comparisons with my own DE stands at home). So I'm limited to what I can fabricate at home, at least so far. Perhaps you can inspire me?

So my question to you: What do you use (fabricated or otherwise) to safely store your Schick Razor in your bathroom/and or bathroom cabinet i.e. before you have a shave?

Cheers.

I don't. I store razors wrapped in one sheet of paper towel or a paper napkin in a large plastic box. Stands are needless IMO and just add clutter. After shaking a wet injector I lay it on its back, edge up on a paper napkin, and let it dry before putting away. I am not an overly fastidious man and neither should you be. ;)

Hi Bogeyman. Thanks for your reply. Yes, you have a point! I am rather OCD about it. However, there is barely any room in the tiny bathroom cabinet I share to lay a razor down (in my shave drawer/storage, like you, I lay my razors (ones without stands) on paper towels, and/or plastic boxes). Yes, I could remodel said wall, and install a bathroom cabinet twice as large (as that'd be slightly easier than trying to negotiate more space from the Mrs!).

However, if I do come up with something, just for a laugh I'll post a reply here.
