Vienna Soap

I found a shop in Vienna which sells Shaving Soap called Wiener Seife (Viennese Soap).

The customer service was excellent; they even had a sink where you could test lather a soap.

They had about five or six scents of shaving soap. I bought a Farniente scent one - not sure what fragrance it was; it's very subtle and kind of grassy masculine if that makes any sense. It was a bit expensive at 15 euros but that kind of fits in with Vienna prices.

I've have several shaves with it so far and I am impressed. It lathers quite easily but is slightly on the thin side due perhaps because there a few oils in the ingredients. I would guess that the lanolin holds the lather firm. In use it is a very slippery customer and glide it top notch. Although the lather seems a little thin it did however perform exceptionally well and the post-shave skin feel was excellent; maybe because of the lanolin or the oils.

So if you're in Vienna why not support local businesses and give this one a go. They also sell a wide variety of bath soaps too. I was given a sample but have not yet tried it. It's a few miles out of the city centre but is less than 10 mins on the 74A bus (Hintzerstraße bus stop) from the centre station Wien Mitt

Thanks Mark. I did have a quick look for Esbjerg but couldn't find it and didn't have a lot of time anyway; but I was looking out for it though.
The Haslinger office was a little but out of the way to visit just for that. I was hoping that I would see some of their soap in the shops but didn't; which was not surprising really.
The Wiener Seife shop was on the way to our hotel which made it very convenient.
