Using an SE

As its been mentioned already and I for the most part agree use a Proline, sharp and smooth, I will use nothing else in my Cobra Classic although I prefer the Feather Pro Super in my Brass General. Some razors like different blades but all razors like Prolines. P :)
We share the same preferences in blades according to razor efficiency. I too use the pro super in the General and the p-30 in the MR-SE

Oh yes. Some of the blades are excellent and I dont think I would describe any of them as harsh. My personal favourites are the Proline B20 and P30. The 20's are for injectors and the 30's are for AC. Beautiful smooth shaves.
May I ask which AC razors do you find are smooth with the P-30s (for a coarse/dense/wiry/thick beard/sensitive skin)?

Choose your blade wisely, don't use pressure. You will be surprised how much wider the razor is and the area it covers with every stroke. I don't hand stroke the blades, but you can do it and see if there is a difference. Prolines P-30 are what people gravitate towards lately and my blade of choice too for the Hawk.
I found the P-30s in the Hawk aggressive (less so in the General, but still a tendency to bite), but not as much as some of the Feather range of SE blades. Are there other SE razors you've tried that make the P-30's more mild? Thanks.

New to forum just acquired Oneblade Genesis (awaiting delivery).
Have read about Schick Proline blade it would seem highly recommended SE.
I don't understand what is meant by “20's are for injectors and the 30's are for AC”.
Could you please explain and which is correct for Oneblade ?
Thank you John

Neither Schick blades will fit into the Oneblade.

The Schick Prolines 30's will fit into a razor that uses Feather Artist club compatible blades such as a Blackland Vector, General, Cobra, King Cobra or Mongoose.

The 20's are Injector blades that fit in Schick Injectors or the Supply Provision.

The Schick Proline Blades actually are AC blades and come in Two Sizes Type P are the longer and fit the modern
SE Razors these can come dispenser with 20 or30 blades.
The Type B are also AC blades but very close in size to Injector blades, a few of us tried them with sucess , I so far have only found TypeB in dispensers with 20 blades.
In a nutshell Type P can be used in most modern SE Razors designed to take AC blades. The shorter Type B have found a use in Vintage Injectors and the Supply SE

Hello @JohnT, welcome to the forum.

As has been said, none of the blades you mention will fit the Oneblade. The only blade that fits is the Feather FHS blade, which the Oneblade was designed to work with.

Other blades are the GEM single edge blades however the spine needs to be removed from each blade or it will not fit.

Hope this helps. [emoji1303]

Sorry to have missed this. I am nowadays an infrequent visitor. Neither of these blades will fit the OneBlade. It is an excellent razor but it only really takes the feathers FHS'10.

Injector razors such as the schick and the supply take the B20 whoch is a smaller blade. Artists Club razors such as the Cobra, Mongoose, Black Hawk, Occams, and others take a larger blade and the P30 fits them. And makes for a fabulous shave!

And whilst I do love the OneBlade I can only get 2 or 3 shaves out of those FHS-10 blades.

Probably about right but I do find with a bit of palm stropping I can get 5 or 6 shaves from a blade. Depends on the blade though as they are quite inconsistent in quality.
