umbrellas

I would prefer to look for good weather....but you probably made the right decision to look for a brolly...on a more serious note, I have never owned one and do not know a good from a bad one, as a ex bus driver I did handle several over the years, there must be thousands lying in storage at bus depots over the UK...if you were to happen to LOSE one on a BUS...then you should look at your depot and ask if a black gents brolly was handed in....;-)

Can't help on compacts specifically but I can vouch for Fulton in general in terms of quality. I got a Storm Shield (or storm proof, not sure) big one from Debenhams and the build quality is excellent. Got sick of buying cheap ones and them breaking in no time at all, so decided to get something good, and have had it a few years now.

I got one from amazon with life time guarantee, kevlar struts so it can take a lot of force with wind. Apparently it is a no quibble guarantee but I haven't needed to try it out. The only downside is the handle size is a bit small. I will have a look for the link.
