Closed UK Pass Around: Bunny Razor V3 - Finished.

Today it was the last shave, with a single Schick blade and Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica.
A couple of tiny red spots and that was all. The Notso comb and this blade were a danger combination for my face, but the shave was closest than before. Some difficults over the upper lip and down the nose, the most skills depending areas.
At the end it seems to me a very efficient razor and a new breeze for the Schick blades. The metal makes it easy to maintain and clean and the different combs help to choose the one that fit better your whiskers kind.
Last, thanks to all of you for this change to test this new razor, one of the most innovative I have seen recently. Hope see a lot of them in the SOTD very soon.
Sending tomorrow to the next gentleman.

First of all, congratulations on such a great job Tom.
I am so impressed.

Well, I was going to wait until the end and give a sober thoughtful review.
But I just can't resist.
It arrived today and used it at my first opportunity.
(Well a bit before that actually. The other stuff has to wait)

I am just reiterating what others have said.
However, the more people that agree, the more it reinforces the statement I suppose.
(My excuse to type out my random ramblings.)

Initial impressions are great.
I love the tin and the foam insert (I had forgotten about that bit.)
It feels great. Well made.

My initial concern (from the photos) was its size.
However it isn't as bulky as it appears in photos, it is a degree of scale smaller than I expected.
Also, I had no issues under the schnozz as I expected to.

I was also curious as to the shape of the handle.
But, actually, the handle didn't cross my mind once while using it.

Changing the combs was just no issue at all.
Ingenious design, you just can't get it wrong.
Nice tight fit, loverly.

Although I can see the screw being tight and small for some
(But I am thinking you mentioned that there were other suggestions as a bigger one would not get in the way.)

Anyway,I just love the versatility of it.
It covers everything an injector can be.
Three levels of aggression AND it can take my favorites, the twin blades.

Well, I wasn't going to admit the following out loud, but it does add to the list of diversity of uses.

I like the twin blades but one can only use them in more recent (milder) injectors.
I have always thought they could do with a bit more exposure.
Anyway, for my first shave with the bunny, I allowed myself a little indulgence and used the twins without any combs.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great shave.
I shall try with a wild comb next, it might have the same result.
But the point is, the versatility. So it also can be a sevette…. Or an injevette?????
Such fun.
Thanks for letting me have a play.
I shall try it with different combs and blades and give a more sensible opinion after a few goes with it.

Like I say, I just couldn't resist but spout my initial views straight away.
Now, what do i need to eat to create quicker facial hair growth?

Brave move for the first Bunny shave.
It took me until today to try the Bunny without a comb.
I ended up only doing the first pass without a comb. While it is not as scary as it sounds and I had no nasty accidents (NO PRESSURE), there was too much blade feel for my taste. I changed to the WILD comb for the remainder of the shave. The Bunny with the comb just glides across the face. Without the comb I just didn't have that unique Bunny feel I like.
So by all means, gentlemen, try the Bunny without a comb, especially if you think injectors are too mild. Personally I prefer the razor with a comb.

I know what you mean, it definitely was smoother with the wild comb.
Don't forget that I used the twin blades thoug, they spread the pressure a bit.
And because they are nice and sharp they don't catch on the hair.
If i had more time with it, I would try it for a while.
I reckon it would be a get used to thing.

I can't really understand the whole exposure thing.
I was wondering oh great Bunny lord ( @twhite510 )
Is the wild comb as wild as it can go?
Or as wild as you felt it should go?
As in, if it were to be wilder, is it just the same as combless?
Or are there more stages of wild available?

Apologies if the following has already been covered:

Another thing i was wondering.
If you do decide to make and sell these,
I am happy with holding it and the angle, but it is pretty different from other injectors eh?
As in the angle of the handle to the head.

So, another thing that I could see possibly making people think twice would be the handle.

I was wondering if it might be worth considering a version where the handle is separate,
so people can use their own preference.
But that the hole is tapped at a lower point than straight on, thus creating the angle that people are used to
with, say, injectors.
Obviously I haven't a clue how to do it, nor do i know if it has already been discussed (Bit too lazy to read the whole thread if I am honest.)

All great questions. As for making the wild comb, wilder. That is totally doable. There is a point of diminishing returns shall we say. If there is too much exposure. The comb will no longer serve as a guide. You would need to apply pressure to the razor to make contact.

I do not know that point. As I have not made any more combs with more exposure.

As for the handle. My second version V2 has a removable handle. Being able to use a different handle was one of my early goals. However the unique head design. Does not lend itself to most handle designs. It would not look right. That is one reason for the single piece design.

Glad you are enjoying it.

the point of diminishing returns is often overlooked. In theory, you could make it go back to being aggressive as a straight razor, but the shave comfort would be well, "interesting"

Bunny arrived safely this morning, many thanks :). Report to follow.
