Hi ,I'm looking at the Timeless razors as wife want to treat me for anniversary but import duties and shipping put a chunk more money on them ,Wondered if there's a good U.K. De razor which is on par with Timeless ie Bronze ,Should I pay the extra cash or buy British ,Decisions ,Decisions ,Need a fairly mild razor for face and head around the £120 mark ,Cheers

An adjustable like Merkur Progress or system like Rockwell 6S would work, but there are more exciting alternatives - I have the 6C and a Progress and they're in the BST together with a Gillette Slim.

It would help if you tell us what you have tried already and what you thought of those razors, to get an idea of how efficient you want the razor, and whether safety bar or open comb.

Since it's a special occasion a special razor would be nice. You'll get a much better deal on the BST here. Quite a few nice razors have come up recently for around €150. And since that's their resale value it permits you to experiment and swap again using the BST, though you do have to be a member of the forum for 60 days to advertise. Just thinking ahead.

Shave Lounge and Connaught sometimes have seconds if you send them an email. They stock ATT from time to time, and the R1 sounds about right.

I can understand why you'd want a Timeless. Has to be one of the finest DE's out there. I will never part with my 0.68 for sure. God it is even sexy to look at.

It may be just a case of being patient and scouring through what might be available on the web in used sales. I bought mine second hand and I think you'll find most people who own them look after them.

I guess the ATT's might be close but I wasn't overly impressed with their M2 OC. An Ikon B1 SB is one superb DE but they can be quite a handful if you are not too experienced in DE's. Certainly top of my list in the close shave scales.

Hi ,Thanks for the quick reply's ,I've got Ikons ,Rockwell 6c ,Mercury 23c ,Parker 63 ,Edwin jagger Chatsworth ,Muhle 89 ,Gillette techs ,Owned Feathers before but went into straights so didn't bother much with De s ,Now fingers aren't too good due to working in damp conditions so going back to De s

From that list it's obvious that you know what you're doing. So it looks like whatever hi-end razor comes up on BST. Usual suspects - Blackland, Charcoal Goods, Timeless, Paradigm...

There are some European razors if you hunt them out - Barbaros TR-2 (unobtanium), Tatara Masamune, Rocnel Elite, Seygus Zeppelin....

Excellent and you won't regret it. A mild feel and an aggressive finish. Great razor

Congratulations. Timeless do some fantastic razors, in terms of look and performance. Just don't let it kindle your interest in a Wolfman DE.

I've been shaving with the 6S for a week now and I have to say, I love it. I've fooled around with the various bases and I'm here to say this is a very good and very comfortable shaver. I'm also getting the Timeless bronze razor soon but the 6S is a great option.
