This made me chuckle...

Chuckle?, I thought it was a can opener....

What a corker...a bit of T-Cut and a polish and no one will know?

Not even worth the postage, the scales don't look anything special, if they were perhaps it could be worth buying just to salvage them but in this case I think I will pass.

Just shows you what people will try to sell on the bay.

Opps struck a nerve reply from seller.and she is ammending her
Listing, she thought that how it was ment to be, as it was her. G/dad
Her reply bellow

Hi Colin. Firstly, I know absolutely nothing about shaving utensils,
being a mere woman!!! This, along with some other stuff, belonged
to my late grandad. It has a "half moon" shape at the end of it, but
I thought that is how it should be, is that what you mean by a "nick"?
other than that I cannot see any other fault with it. Secondly, I don't
know what the word honed means!!! You probably think I'm stupid,
but I would be grateful if you could enlighten me, so I can amend
my listing. I wouldn't like to list something as in good condition, if it
isn't. Thanks.Regards
,Maggie.-

Wow, someone who seems to be honest and open. I had a guy like that once who had the common razor in the wrong box and listed as the box described it. (I can't remember the exact details but it was something like a Tech in an Aristocrat box).

The seller amended the listing and thanked me, I think people paid more money because the box was in really good nick, went for about £30 in the end. Over time I found a lot of sellers become aggressive when you try to help them so I stopped correcting auctions I noted were incorrect.

I can actually see what that woman means it is not really a terribly ragged edge, whatever took the bite out it snapped it reasonably clean, so it is not inconceivable that she did indeed think this was how it was supposed to be. I noted she has amended her listing.

Nice one, that’s your good deed for the day done.
