The Tech Test

The Tech Test has come to an abrupt halt. A close friend of mine grows a beard and has done for years due to the discomfort of shaving. Following a conversation, I gifted him the Gillette Blue to help trim his beard in comfort. The Blue used the long plastic handle and the head of the Frankentech. Whilst I'll be unable to complete the comparisons, the cause is worthy! Interestingly I found the slim aluminium tech I bought as my second DE razor. I forgot I had this. The handle is in a poor state but the head is fine. I've moved the head to the Yaqi nickel handle.

I wouldn't call them "duds" per se, as IMO Sputnik blades are very razor and soap dependent as they are after all Gillette's entry level DE blade and cheap in Russia. Whereas a great soap can help a mediocre blade "limp" into a DFS, just the opposite is true as well.
