The Bullgoose Asylum RX razor - are you getting one?

If we go the utilitarian route, I wonder at what point someone would just make a handle, with a slot/cage at the top, where you slip in something like a sawed off Feather/CJB straight :)
You don't need tabs. You don't need anything beyond pressing the "clamp" and set the blade. Sort of a two piece razor.

What you describe sounds like an injector. Also, the old vintage SE's are two piece, sprung head razors.

I'm interested in what the blade loading mechanism is for this razor...

I know, I just thought about sawing the handle of my Feather AC (kamisori), and glue on an extra screw I got from Rocnel. So, the loading mechanism would be identical to current Feather razors. Then I remembered that you'd need a safety bar, so some sort of a cage that would incorporate a safety bar. So basically, it's like the new Rocnel, but instead of sliding the top cap and tighten with the handle, just slide the whole clamping thing. It was just an idea how to create a DIY AC style razor from parts you already have. Maybe I'll try doing it with one of the 30$ knockoffs :). I'm sure people ruled this kind of blade loading for various reasons, while designing their own (patents for starters).

That is utterly and absolutely gorgeous!

If you are a lover of jazz and atonal music, like mismatched, uneven, asymmetrical designs; I suppose this razor might seem beautiful.

This razor has all the artistic merit of jumbled modern art, that either an asylum patient or a hipster might appreciate.

But it does look like it was made to shave well, and that is the main consideration in my book.

Like having a retarded child with Tourette's syndrome, this razor may be something to love and appreciate at home, but not something to be seen with you in public.

That is utterly and absolutely gorgeous! I gotta have me one of those!

If both you guys buy two, might I have one of the spares, please?

I agree, it's probably the best looking razor I've seen in quite some time (well...apart from the Timeless Razor OC head :D).
I'll be trying to get a couple or so if I get a chance...

Took him some time, this process; this video is from 2013.

I didn't care much for it based on the early drawings, but seeing the prototype, yes, there's something about it. And it certainly distinguishes itself from all the other SEs. I'm in.
