Testers wanted - not for Vegetarians

Sixth and final shave with the untweeked Tallow soap. I tried more water initially and the slickness drops noticeably so after the first pass I reloaded the brush and all was well with the world. A great shave. However, I could see this untweeked formula getting a poor rep on forums if users add to much water so it's a good job a tweeked formula appears to address this issue.

How about just calling it Tallow?

Hey Sharon don't know if it's just with me or if it's experience based and I know you said be critical. Well having had a few uses with the tweaked sample I find it to be an excellent soap. It is excellent for cushion especially, slickness is very very good, but if I'm being honest it isn't as slick as some other curent tallow options. YMMV of course.

Do people think it's a big problem if the name of the soap (e.g. Signature) isn't actually printed on the tin, but only on the back label?

No problem here, I'd still be buying it. :)

How about Premiere as a name? It might make people think of football. Men like to think about football. :)

Thankfully not all men like football, some of us rather watch paint drying. ;)

But seriously call it what you desire.

Bejaysus @Nishy, you're a hard man to please.:) But very, very good slickness is not so bad. There is a further tweek I can make that might improve it some. In the absence of a national surge of support for Soapy McSoapface, I will pick one of the others suggested. @p.b I thought you didn't like bovine food connotations to your soap. Seems like you've come full circle.
@Fish I'm so with you on the football/paint drying thing.

Thanks Sharon, soapy mcsoap face would want it this way :)
Its that post shave or in between passes, face wash, that gives me better indication on slickness. I got slickness here don't get me wrong but have experienced more. That is just OTT talk though.

+1

I dislike shaving soaps with cheesy names. Love NSS tins as they are with the "Nanny's Silly Soaps/Gentleman's shaving soap/Handmade in England" printed on the tins.

This is what I was referring to Paul. Trinity is a beautiful university, and definitely worth a visit by anyone in Dublin. But is it a bit religious - as a word - for some?
