Testers wanted - not for Vegetarians

That's all good then Arthur. I'll be very happy if all the people who will now get the tweeked are pleased with it. Just to mention, the last batch of samples are smaller in 10g tins. Out of tins. That is except Bechet's - he is of course teacher's pet. :)

2nd shave with original and it felt much better. I smeared a lump o'beef around the inside of my bowl and lathered up with a half dry brush and dripped water as required.

The first addition of water brought the lather to life and the elasticity felt great. Slckness was better this time and I think this was due to having more product in the bowl. I shaved with a fresh blade in 1912 and the result was very close and comfortable. I do, however, have a slightly dry feel to my face, but there was no discernible issue with slickness during the shave tonight.

Looking forward to trying the tweaked version against this one, but overall it is a really nice soap.

Glad to hear that things are improving Nathan. But dry skin post shave is not what NSS is all about. The post shave feel is probably the most consistently praised aspect of all my shaving soaps. As someone who has always had very dry skin myself, I totally feel where people are coming from when they say that a soap leaves their skin feeling tight and uncomfortable. So fingers crossed you may find the tweeked a bit better on that front. With any luck it will be with you tomorrow. Isn't it weird what different experiences people have with the same soap. What's a girl to do??

Another great shave with The Beef this morning. Used slightly less soap and a TOUCH more water to see what went on, suffice to say the lather was still slick (although a tiny bit less so than my second shave where more soap was used), still very protective and provided a safe, smooth, drama free shave :)

Shaved using the Lemon Basil & Mandarin this morning, superb lather very protective and my skin felt so smooth soft after use Sharon you should definitely offer a tallow range.

Such diversity of opinion. Very surprised at the range of experiences concerning post shave feel with the untweeked version. Nice razor and brush Jamie.

I received my tweeked version in the post when I arrived home. I do really enjoy the scent, pairs well with James Bronnley.
I used a thumbnail sample so quite large and I slowly added water whilst working it into my scuttle. I used a large dense badger (Epsilon). Lather was much more slick than the original also a lot more stable. Cushion was extremely good; a very dense slick lather. Much better than the first version IMO. I used an ATT S2 on a Bulldog handle so quite an aggressive set up. No irritation and a very close shave. Impressively no sting when applying the aftershave either. Skin feels good no dryness. Other tallow soaps such as Tabac explode into lather, I will revert to adding more water from the start, as I usually do, i'm sure this will build the lather faster. But well worth building obviously, regardless.

A great product and I would certainly buy it. Thanks again for the opportunity Sharon :)

Glad it's arrived Eeyore68. I look forward to hearing about your shave.
Glad to hear the tweeked version is performing better for you Nishy. Let me know how it goes when you put more water up front, and whether the 'sweet spot' is tricky or not.
