Superlather Combo's

I have recently been enjoying Palmolive shave stick straight on the chops + Proraso cream in the middle of the brush for some slick face lathering action with a nice menthol kick. Do you have a favorite or unusual combination?

I've only tried this with Palmolive stick and cream and it was nice.
I like to try products on their own for a while to see how they stand up on their own. So much stuff out there it's going to be a while before I start playing with mixes again.

I normally only use one product at a time, though once my Palmolive stick once ran out when I was almost finished my shave and rather than open a new one I just ran my brush over the lemon Shield soap and used it for my last pass. The lather was great but I'd imagine it would be too drying/harsh for regular shaving. Might try the wife's Dove, though :)

Dove is the most drying substance you can put on your skin.
Shun, shun and thrice shun!!

I've been using a combo of Honeybee spa yazu and TOBS sensitive cream (black tub). A beautiful, luxurious combination, which smells fantastic and glides lovely and smooth. Mmmm!

I've also been using a mixture of L'Ome shaving soap (available in John Lewis) and Real Shaving Co Moisturizing shave cream. Another great smelling combo, very coconutty and shaves a dream!

That's a good idea pbroddi, my Honeybees could also use something extra.

It's a good way of enhancing products for more regular use that don't always quite make it on their own.

I have a hand made Bay Rum soap that smelled delightful but performed terribly, coupled with some AOS scentless cream and I will be happy to use them from now on, otherwise they would be gathering dust.

That's pretty much what I did with the L'Ome soap. Smelled great, poor performance, but when combined with the cream, has a place back in the rotation.

I had an olive and bay soap, which didn't lather too well, but came into it's own with regular Boots lathering shave cream. Bit of a wierd smell, like, but very servicable!

Sometimes, I mix creams as well. My fave is Laidback (citrus and black pepper), which doesn't lather, mixed with Lavera (another warm citrus scent). Sometimes, I'll add a dollop of Ingrams for a menthol blast!

Superlather, the best excuse to double your cream and soap purchases!

I'm a fan of this and often mix up some MWF with Musgo cream, Omega cream and soap,
Proraso cream with their aloe vera + tea soap. I also like the P160 soap with some Proraso.
I tend to use cream on my face and soap on my head when shaving both, after the first pass it tends t o get all mixed and become superlather.
