Sunglasses

Can anyone recommend an economical transition lens sunglasses mainly when riding scooter in India. Have got a rake of shades; but not unfortunately any with transition lenses. Well, I did have, but for some bizarre reason I chucked them out!
Thank you

My wife gifted me a pair of Rayband's probably 20 years ago and are still my only pair :giggle:

Probably totally out of fashion nowadays but I like them.

Anyone else have a fetish for sunglasses?
I probably have about ten decent pairs (RayBans, Guess, Police) to wear out and about and then a few for driving etc. I do squint quite badly even when it's cloudy so I really find them indispensable.
Mrs Seaman noticed yesterday that she gets 30% off at RayBan official store with her Blue Light card. She was about to order me a new pair of Aviator Gradients from the site (RRP 149£ ) then noticed an opticians in Glasgow doing them for 89£ so we ordered them from there. I think 89£ for a pair of Aviators is a cracking price. Anyone else recommend any good pairs out there?
You want recomendations! You haven't got enough already! :) P.
I had a couple of pairs of RayBans back in the 80s and loved them but needed perscripion glasses by then and always got a pair of sunglasses made up as well. :) P.

I think this will probably be my last pair without prescription lenses. At my last eye test my optician said that I will need glasses for everyday use after my next test which is 12 months away.

Anyone else with Transitions or the likes have people think you wear sunglasses all the time. My transitions have a small amount of tint all the time, which I rather like. Also have the beginnings of Cataracts so my understanding is that U.V. Protection is even more important.

I used to have a pair but I seem to remember they would react to the slightest amount of uv light and go dark even if you was indoors sitting near a window!
I changed over to having a clear set and a set made up as sun glasses.
I am now well over due for my eye test and have found my reading glasses no longer work well enough so I need to book myself in for a test! P.

My optometrist advised against transition lenses for the same reason Blademonkey didn't like them. Accordingly, like Blademonkey, I have a clear set and a sunglasses set. I don't go for designer frames for my glasses because of the premium price and often dubious quality; I buy frames made in Austria. My wife, on the other hand likes designer frames regardless. Her current prescription sunglasses have Maui Jim frames. She's had them for a couple of years and has had to return them to the dealer for repair 3 times so far: twice because the left-hand arm has come off its hinge and once to have the nose piece replaced. ‘Cherchez la femme.'

Apologies if I have totally missed the point, but you can get optical lenses (with any colour tints) put into Ray bans; obviously one would have to forgo the insignia etched into the lens; unless of course Ray bans also offer this service.
IT all depends on which optician you go to, I asked to have prescription dark lenses put into my Clubmaster Classics and I was told No!
I guess I shouldn't have gone to Specsavers! :) P.
