That is fantastic new that it got there that fast. Glad to hear that that your first experience with a straight wasn’t a bloody one. With regards the angles it will come with practice, just remember to keep an eye on it because if you do to steep an angle it can dig in and cut you.
The stropping will come just do it slowly to start and if you want to practice use a bread knife on the strop to learn how it do it right.
I was the same when I started using one just do the bits that you feel comfortable with and finish with a DE over time you will do more and more until you can do the full shave with the straight.
Oh by the way don’t leave the stop in your bathroom the leather doesn’t like it store it hung up somewhere else in the house.
