Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend.

I can't remember the last time i added the Astra SP blade to my DE blade rotation...I've always got great shaving results with my R41 paired up with a Astra SP..The R41 is such an efficient lady, which pairs up well with most blades i've paired her up with, i find non-aggressive blades pair well with aggressive razors and vice versa.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups bbs silky smooth face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of The Real Shaving Co. ~ SPF15 Anti-Ageing Moisturiser.

My face & precious swede are feeling super smooth and smelling devine.;)

Enjoy the start of the weekend, ladies & gentlemen.

- Barrister & Mann Lyssa
- Semogue FA 2019 LE Silvertip
- Edwin Jagger DE81 with Feather blade
- Rockford Soul aftershave

:D

Pre-shave:- Argan Oil Soap
Bowl/Scuttle:- Vintage Earthenware shaving bowl
Brush:- Synthetic
Soap/Cream:- Palmolive shave stick
Razor/Blade:- Wilkinson TTO and Dorco (5)
Post/After-shave: Cocoa Butter/Lotion
Fragrance:- Lacoste

Shave number 5 with the Wilkinson and a Dorco blade from Sainsburys.

Not sure why I seem to get my best shaves after 4/5 days of use, I read other peoples comments who throw the blade away by the second or third day.

This stainless blade is about its best today, both smooth and close.

I have noticed a real improvement in my shave when I use Argan Oil Soap, the one I buy is with Jojoba, I suspect that it is intended as a liquid hand wash but I use it on my face and it works very well indeed.

Saturday 2nd November

Proraso Sensitive Pre Shave
Wickham Russian Leather Shaving Soap
Vulfix 'The Mayfair' Badger Brush
Focus R48 Dynamic SE with a 7 O'clock Sharp Edge
Thayers Witch Hazel with Cucumber
MWF Moisturiser
Clubman Special Reserve AS/Cologne

A very enjoyable close and comfortable shave in 3 passes.

2/11/19

Brush - Zenith Euro X
Soap - MWF
Razor - Fat Handle Tech
Blade - Gillette Winner (2)
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Cooling Kick
AS - Superdrug Forest Fresh

A really great lather today with the Zenith boar and MWF. I'd been reading a few things about MWF, and 'loading it like you hate it' and it worked a delight got a really superb lather, denser than others but with a lot of slickness nonetheless.
I'd previously thought the new Indian Gillette Winner was the same blade as the Indian Gillette Wilkinson Sword but for today's shave the blade felt quite significantly sharper the Indian GWS and a very smooth blade as well, IMO Indian Gillette blades seem to be a little underappreciated but they are very good blades.

Anyway chaps, have a good weekend.

ATT Copper Windsor R Plate - first shave. As you know I'm a vintage guy and this is my first new razor. Exceeded my expectations for the wow factor, smoothness and lack of blade chatter. A very hefty and quiet razor that is in the same category (but a step above) of my NEW SC and Pre-war Tech - my two former best shavers. Very glad I was able find this gem before it joins the ranks of BBS-1 and those other stellar shavers of yesteryear.
