Jayaruh #128 Synthetic Brush
Ever Ready HFT razor with a GEM SS PTFE Blade
Thayers Witch Hazel with Cucumber
Palmer's Raw Shea Moisturiser
Pitralon Classic AS

It is a special day for me today and I wanted a good shave to mark the occasion.
3 passes for a 'Face Feeling' result

Bit of a Russian theme today with the arrival of my Homelike Start razor. Razor is well made, has a nice weight to it and have a really smooth and comfortable shave that took down 3 days of growth with no problems using the Voskhods. Soap was a nice surprise too, especially for the price (around £5 converted) and the scent reminds me a little of Phoenix and Beau (Baskerville I think). Didn't try the aftershave that was sent as my skin is rather dry this time of yearIMG_20191115_122104.jpg

A very nice shave with the heavyweight Mongoose today, It has been called many bad things in some forums, however, i really like it, the shave angle is very natural for me. Yes the head is large, but then again mine is about the size of a Winter cabbage.
Cue ball smooth from 2 passes and some buffing.
Smelling and Feeling really good.

Mrs Chin has mentioned i am a bit obsessed about shaving at the Mo ( Me? - Never ;)) and i spend a lot of time planning and photographing my next weeks shaves on the weekend. Therefore for a little while at least it will be 1 razor, 1 soap and 2 brushes per week - for now.

Have a great weekend All.

I realize I should probably keep shaving with my Rex Ambassador, but there are just so many razors, and not enough time!
In any case, my R41 spoke to me this morning. I switched the Bulldog handle for a Barber Pole handle, and the rest is history! Great two pass BBS on my face and a DFS for the noggin scrape with a minor weeper on the back of my head. Very pleased with the shave and the razor. I feel clean, smooth and refreshed, and ready for a great day!

Friday morning

Cella
Yaqi Red Marble Tuxedo 24mm synth
Face lather
Valet Autostrop VC3
Feather FHS-10
Proraso Sandalwood

A friend of mine has recently acquired a couple of vintage razors; one of which is a Valet Autostrop (a VC2, I think). It reminded me that I hadn't used my VC3 in ages.

It's what some would term a ‘mild' razor, I suppose; despite its Steampunk appearance. That said, it gave a really good shave with the Feather blades. Very sharp, but perhaps not the longest lasting of SE blades. Academic, of course; if I want to keep using the VC3, I have no choice (don't have the stropping blades; but by all accounts, they're rougher than a rough thing).

BBS and olfactorily emollient from the Proraso; a nice splash for the cold weather.

Friday 15th November
Yaqi Sagrada Familia - Palmolive Stick - Ever Ready Streamline - GEM SSC â„–9 - Alum - Quorum A/S - Aloe Vera Gel
Afraid there's no picture today. But wanted to say how pleased I was with all aspects of the shave. Why the Palmolive stick gets used rarely is a mystery to me. Could it be the thought of not wanting to run out?
The Streamline is a wonder to behold it brings out the very best of a blade in its 9th use.
Lovely end to the week.

Fri 15th Nov

The Grosvenor ( 404 mixed )
EJ Cooling Menthol cream
1 ER HFT- Gem S/S ( 6 )
2 Occams V2 / plate3
Feather Proguard ( 3 )
Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

I wanted to finish off this rotation with the HFT, but as the blade was shot I had to stop using it.As going out tonight I wanted a good Shave, so decided to use the Occams which I have found to be very good. I borrowed the EJ cream from my son,and found it had a big menthol kick with a rich creamy lather, which assisted in provision of a very good close all round finish, setting me up for going out this evening

First shave with this brush, after which it bloomed considerably, with minimal shedding.
Eats a lot of soap but makes a great lather quickly. It's definitely a keeper.
