I shaved yesterday but my post crashed just at the end. I used my Claymore again and managed to get a DFS. OSP Barbershop cream and Epsilon Blue aftershave. Managed to restore a bit of my confidence in the Claymore. My neck could've been better but I didn't want to risk irritation in pursuit of a BBS.

Tonight's shave was mainly to address my neck. I chose my Rockwell 6c as I know my technique has improved whilst I learn my way around SE shaving.

This was a simple 3 pass shave which has me smiling. BBS all over and no irritation or weepers.

The OSP soaps have been at the back of my drawer for a few weeks and I shouldn't be ignoring them. They give a great creamy lather with super slickness and protection. I'm going to make sure they find their way into my regular rotation.

Barts Balms are simply a joy to use. They always finish things with well nourished skin and a silky smooth feel. The Rosemary and Sandalwood balm went well with the OSP cream.

I've finished off my first bottle of Thayers tonight. That's not bad considering I bought it in August last year and use it every time as part of my post routine. Onto my second bottle now!

An overall enjoyable shave this evening!

Have a great weekend folks! [emoji1303]

And yesterday evening saw the theme for my shave as 'Black'

42031

A bit of a late runner here for last week's SOTD but I had issues uploading photos which judging by the photo above I seem to have resolved.

Black hole - Timeless 0.68
Blacklist - Kai
Blackmail - Razorock Plissoft 400 - In black
Blackened - Gentlemen's Tonic Cream
Black water - Bvlgari (the unpronounceable) Man in Black

'Mmmmm?' I thought, 'It is about time I gave the good old ageless Timeless a run out being as it has seen little use recently'. And while at it throw in a Kai blade being as I have just bought a bunch of them. I do rather like the fact that Kai blades have absolutely naff all printed on them. No 'This Way Up' or 'Handle with care' or to the that matter not even....'Kai'. A minimalist approach. God bless these Japanese and their wonderful view of Zen and the razor blade.

No Polsilver Lodz? Sometimes needs must and I need to pull my feet out of the mud.

The new kid on the block here being the 'it arrived this week', Razorock Plissoft 400. Wonderful. It looks exactly the same as the aluminium version I usually reach for except......it is black. My God it even works the same. Same lather monster in a different guise. How I am so easily pleased.

The GT cream as I needed a cream/soap in a black tub otherwise the photo would look out of theme. Even if it is spoilt by the glitzy Timeless. I guess a bit of paint might have gone some way to putting it 'in tone' but I don't quite think this would be the way to go. Plus I'd spend all weekend cleaning it all off. It just happens to be top drawer cream while at it.

May be I need to reach out for a different blade more often as this evening was polished off with a wonderful multi pass shave and a face as shiny as my razor. All to be topped off with L'Occitane Cade aftershave balm and a dash of Bvlgari (the unpronounceable) Man in Black with its lovely overlays of a sweet peppery scent.

A smashing evening's shave and all ready to face the weekend with a BBS grin and even more new toys to come out of woodwork.

Have a great weekend chaps
