SOTD: Saturday 9th February - Friday 15th February 2019.

Sunday 10th February

Pears Glycerine Soap
Proraso Sensitive Pre Shave Cream
Creightons Ultra Rich Shaving Cream
Yaqi Black Marble 24mm Synthetic Brush
Turkish Copper Bowl
Wilkinson Sword TTO with a Gillette Rubie
Simple Facial Toner
Al-Reab Oudy PO

I haven't posted for a few days due to the on going Conjunctivitis which developed into an Opthamology Emergency due to my A&E missing a couple of corneal ulcers. I have been using fragrance and alcohol free products and razors which I could use blindfolded (which you could probably say....I was). The Creighton's cream is very slick and 3 passes gave me an excellent finish.
The Simple facial toner has been a good discovery. Full of lots of goodies like Lucky Tiger....but no fragrance and a fraction of the price!
Wishing you a speedy recovery Brian.

Prep: Hot shower with Pears bluensoap
Pre: Proraso Sensitive Preshave and bloom water
Brush: Wilkinson Sword Finest Bristle
Soap: P&B Pall Mall
Razor: Rockwell 6C (R4 and R2)
Blade: Personna Red (2)
Post: Cold Water rinse / Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel
ASL: Duru Lemon
ASB: Nivea Sensitive

Four days' growth was no obstacle to the Rockwell on plate 4. The first pass WTG left very little clean up. Swapped down to plate 2 for XTG and ATG leaving my first BBS in my 6 months of proper wet shaving.

Have a great evening.

Cheers
Steve

A cool and chilling menthol theme tonight.

As I did last night, everything was at a slow and methodical pace. The results speak for themselves.....another BBS finish and an incident free 3 pass shave.

My face is currently tingling with that fresh menthol feel.

With zero pressure and taking things at a slow pace I feel my skin can possibly manage daily shaving when using the Hawk. I'll see how things are tomorrow night and I may try 3 days with daily shaving. Fingers crossed!

Have a great night folks and here's to the week ahead! [emoji1303]

Sunday 10 February 2019

PreShave: Warm water, from the tap
Cream: GFT Rose
Brush: Kent BK8
Bowl: My recycled cream bowl
Razor: The Sledgehammer (Merkur 39C)
Blade Astra Platinum (2)
Post Shave: Alum

Fragrance: Floris 71/72

A good start to Sunday, the cream provided a nice pre-shower scent, a bit of a change from the TOBS Platinum Collection of yesterday (which has a refreshing soapiness to it). I'll have to wait a while and open a tub of cream from the other “T of St James's” to do a cream comparison test. (Too many open containers at the moment to justify to myself, and more importantly to SWMBO, opening another,)

Have a greay end to the weekend and a good week, folks.
