Pre shave Prep: Nuage Menthol Oil
Brush: Razorock 400
Soap: OSP Eucalyptus and Menthol
Blade: Feather PB (7)
Razor: Blackland Vector
Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, homemade Witch Hazel

Vec RR Ment (2).jpg

A Grey Day Shave but a Glorious one at that.
Today with the rain and gloom all morning I have had my sights set on my shave today, Up steps the Vector always aiming to please.
The RR400 is a lather monster for me with the bloomed OSP. easily enough for 3 passes from about 30 seconds swirling.
Pre shave job goes to the Nuage menthol oil.
3 passes required as i thought the blade was going off, it did so at the end of the 3rd pass, 7 shaves from 1 blade i can only be happy with that.
No indication from the post shave routine and the face very comfortable and supple from the Barts balm and oil, a splash of OSP matching the menthol theme.
A very happy BBS lad here.
Enjoy the rest of your day All.

Brush - Omega 10075
Soap - Palmolive
Razor - Lord L6
Blade - Treet Classic
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Replenishing
AS - Akcay Tobacco

I didn't really have a huge amount of growth this morning and I probably could have got by without shaving but went ahead nonetheless. The Lord L6 seems to be more on the aggressive of things then I am generally accustomed to, and found yesterday's shave with the Gillette Wilkinson Sword (India) to be a bit too much so I paired the razor with a milder blade, the Treet Classic and only did 2 passes. The shave's probably not as close as I'd get with the extra pass but my skin was really up for the extra pass.

First time using the Akcay Turkish Tobacco cologne I picked up last night from a local supermarket. I was expecting it to be much the same as another Turkish tobacco cologne I am very familiar with (Eyup Sabri) but they are a lot more different than I expected. The Eyup Sabri has more of a floral & sweeter scent, whilst the Akcay one has more talcum powder overtones.

Cold Water Shave
Pears Glycerine Soap
Williams Mug Shaving Soap
Omega 10051 Boar Brush
Ever-Ready HFT (E-Bar) with a Gem SS PTFE Blade
Witch Hazel
Palmer's Fragrance Free Moisturiser
Williams Aqua Velva AS

I have a few days off (Working the weekend) but it was an early start and so far it has been a very good day.
1) The Motor bike passed it's MOT test
2) I found a pharmacy with UK Ingram Cream and cleared their stock.
3) Popped into the Antique Shop beside the Pharmacy and found today's razor. An Ever-Ready HFT in immaculate condition and it cost me only £4.

Today's shave was just perfect. 3 mild but incredibly efficient passes for a BBS finish:)

B. - your card today - Rockwell? - doesn't look urban enough to be Hopper? Having read about the recent weather down south - maybe you should have taken a punt on the Aussie rowing team? Not very patriotic behaviour - you are the cricketing equivalent of Lord Haw Haw - ha ha.

@TomG - sounds like you have been proper crook mate. Look after yourself - get well soon - yours - both - I.

Thanks Iain. I have indeed been crook as a dog.
Been popping more pills than Pete Doherty, except my lot are heavy duty antibiotics et al.
Thankfully have turned the corner and coming good, Cobber.
If Lord Giddens keeps up the good work, we'll offer him honorary Aussie Citizenship.

Wednesday evening

Arko stick
Kent synth
Face lather
Gillette Aluminium Tech
Feather #1
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Fine Snake Bite

My mate very kindly passed me an Arko stick to try. Finding out that it's more akin to a croap, I squidged it into a ramekin and loaded my brush from there. It really is a great soap: great cushion and glide; and a lovely slickness into the post shave feel. I find it has a neroli scent not a million miles from James @OSP Neroli. It would probably later well with 4711, or Tom Ford's ball-breakingly extravagant Neroli Portofino.

My Kent brush is clearly going to be a springy one. Soft tips, though; but a bit work to get a bit splaying done. Good enough for a travel brush, however.5D37E796-32EF-4E6C-B6EF-E26A9FC464C3.jpeg

The Feather in the cap of my Tech delivered a brilliant shave. Three lovely passes. And a severely cold face:eek:
