The Grosvenor-mixed
Williams Mug soap
ES Claymore V1 / Bulldog 11 handle
Schick Proline [ 4 ]
Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

I feel quite lucky to have got hold of the original Claymore Razor as not many were produced. A V2 was in production on a small scale, and I believe about 10 of the more expensive V3 were made. ES appear to have problems getting a manufacturer.

Despite its weight and size I find it very manoeuvrable and I get consistently good trouble free Shaves with it, certainly as good as those I get with a Mongoose, and probably better than this from a King Cobra. Today it worked very well with a nice Williams Lather.

Shavingwars

Chapter VII
The Force awakens

Thirty years after
the Shaving Civil War,
the evil Lord Gillette has
risen from his fallen shaving
Empire and seeks to eliminate
the New Single Edge Republic. With
his army of Cartridge Droids a new force
darkens the shaving galaxy and threatens

to destroy the peace and harmony in the washroom

Seeking to defeat Lord Gillette and his Death Razor it was time once again for General Grievous and his Colonial army to take a stand against the evil forces emanating from the supermarket shelves in the distant galaxy of Tesco. With the power of the force and his light Sabre 'Kai', the General made brisk work of annihilating all those bristles which stood before him. Swish, WTG, swish, XTG and swish the infamous ATG sabre stroke, Lord Gillette had no answer to the General's tactical superiority, only serving to collapse with ineffective strokes and ingrowing hairs among the ranks of his servants.

Escaping in his plastic containment pod the evil Lord Gillette was defeated and confined to a life of destitute in the black plug hole far beyond the universe of the Washroom.

'Luke I am your Razorock'

So thanks to @Hedgehog and his quest for the perfect SE blade I was reminded that beyond my obsessive world of Ikons the Colonial General lurked in the cabinet demanding some play time. And am I glad I went that way. With blades the size of the universe no facial hair was going to escape its efficiency and ability to give one superbly smooth and wonderful shave. Three full passes to perfection.

The MWF together with the Razorock were an awesome pairing on the lather front. A few minutes of that fantastic elbow grease stuff saw off those bubbles visible in the photo shoot and altogether a great shaving barrier between blade and skin.

The YSL because it doesn't get enough 'air time' and because it is one gorgeous scent. Visitations to the back of shaving cupboards can be a very rewarding experience. Reach to the dark side once in a while and enjoy the indulgence.

Not many events in the galaxy for this particular day, so I shall face my world as smooth as Chewbacca and enjoy the rain

May the shaving force be with you

You are most welcome, Satanfriendly!

Looks like you had a great shave, and thanks for making it entertaining too!

  • Fatip Piccolo LE OC
  • Rapira Platinum Lux (4)
  • Prep
  • NOM Black Fibre
  • Stirling - Satsuma Glacial
  • MÜHLE Alum
  • Superli 37 Ice Tonic
My first go with the Satsuma, i would have expected the fruity smell to be a bit more prominent (it is a Stirling after all), but it gets a bit blown away by the menthol. The soap is worthy of the Glacial mark, my face feels deep frozen. As usual with this combination of DE blade and razor a BBS & DFS without any hiccups or problems.
Stirling never disappoints with its lather, rich, creamy and gliding smooth as Holiday on Ice ;)
The Alum did not show any skin irritation at all, so a quick rinse to get the stuff off my face, and a full splash of SuperLi Ice Tonic to top off my Menthol limit, tears were flowing, nasal passages were squeaky clean and empty in seconds.
I love the smell of the Ice Tonic, and it stays with you the whole day!
Just what i call a very good start of the day :)
