I must be tempting fate as all my recent Shaves have not only been trouble free, but they all have been Top Notch.
Today was no exception, as the Hawk was featherlike as it removed the whiskers, aided by the rich the creamy lather of the Tabac. Yesterdays Shave with the Alu. General was good, but the Hawk was even better. This quite cheap Razor
is really value for money, and when paired up with a heavier handle gives more expensive AC/SEs a run for their money.

A bit of a weird shave today. I put in a new Silver Star blade into the razor which I use to test out blades, my Ball End Tech and after a few strokes the blade seemed horrible and tuggy. Maybe it would work in a different razor, so I put the blade into my Lord L6. Still horrible and tuggy. Finished the shave with a new GWSI and the shave was ok in the end.

Silver Star blades. I've read a few good things about these blades, but I've now used 6 of them and they've all been horrible! I thought it might have been a bad pack of blades but a brand new one bought from a different seller and the blade was equally as bad as the other ones I've tried.

A very nice, smooth finish tonight. I hadn't used this 1912 variant in a while; and it really did the business. I think it was @mpf9ret who mentioned that this Set was made for the Gem chaps; and they certainly work well.

I had an extra long shift dropped on me so it was an early start and a rushed shave today.
3 passes gave a great finish and I am still presentable after 16 hours

Blade: Gillette Super Stainless (Green) (1)
Brush: Omega 49
Soap: AdC Barberia
Pre: Wilko Oil
ASB: Proraso Blue
ASL: Superdrug Sierra Breeze

The Yaqi Orange is the sacrificial razor to make space for the 3one6 so I thought I'd give it a try before relegating it to the back of a drawer. I also selected a Gillette green as I've not used one since February.

This shave was a very pleasant surprise. The razor and blade combination performed flawlessly and the AdC cream smelt incredible. It also provided a wonderful lather. This was one of those shaves where everything came together. A BBS result without chasing it. I'm going to have to revisit the plan for this razor now.

Soap/Cream:- TOBS Peppermint cream
Razor/Blade:- Claymore / Schick Proline (3)
Post-shave:- Thayers Cucumber / Bart's Balm Peppermint aftershave / Bart's Balm aftershave balm

Back to the Claymore tonight. Went with a Peppermint theme.

Excellent result. 3 great passes with a BBS finish. The TOBS lived up to its reputation with great slickness and glide. It seemed a thirsty soap tonight and took a good bit of elbow grease before it exploded into a lather fest.

An enjoyable hassle free shave.
