Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Rooney 1/3 Super Silvertip Badger
Soap: Shaver Heaven Vanilla Oak
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: NOS Iridium Super BN-76 (1)
Post: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, CRSW Alcohol-Free American Barbershop Moisturising Aftershave
Scent: Geo. F Trumper Spanish Leather EdC

The influenza season had hit hard here in Western Australia, and I succumbed some three weeks back. Unfortunately, in my case it became pneumonia, so I have been most unwell for the last 10 days.
An intensive course of multiple antibiotics has done the trick, and I have turned the corner, but my recommendation to all if you've not already done so is to pop along to your Medical Centre and get an influenza vaccination.
I was seeking a comforting shave, and whilst several other options came to mind, the soap that best expresses this for me is Shaver Heaven Vanilla Oak. I loaded the Wolfman with a fresh Super Iridium BN-76 and set sail. Three delightful passes - the lather was wonderful and the blade paired superbly with the razor. Smooth, precise and very close, resulting in a BBS finish.
When it comes to comforting scents, my personal favourite is Geo F Trumper's Spanish Leather. A slightly posher take on the Cussons Imperial Leather scent, and just what I was after.

Good to hear you're the right side of illness, Tom

Sorry to hear that you have been poorly Tom, but glad that are on the mend. Let's hope that your cricket team don't give you too much of a boost though ;)

Mon 10th June.

RazoRock Syn. 24mm
Speick Active soap
Alu. General / Claymore handle
Schick Proline [ 3 ]
Pitralon original A/S Lotion

A nice start to the week, an extremely smooth Shave with the nicely weighted Alu. General. The Shave was aided
by the great lather that the Speick provides, enabling a trouble free experience and the benefit of an ultra close finish, up there with the best.

So today I reached for the Mergress which is always a favourite of mine, just love the weight and balance. Loaded with the ever smooth Voskhod and we are always good to go.

Today's soap was new to me CBL Soaps - Barbershop and what a great soap it was! The scent is just about the best barbershop I have smelt in a long time, as good as B&M Seville just a tad less sweet with a bit of a nuttiness to it...I know (that's) weird eh? Well (that's) what I smell anyway and scents are always subjective but what isn't is performance and this soap kills it in that department! Easy to lather and slick! Loaded too much and it pained me to let some go but I only had time for a 2 pass shave and quite a DFS it was!

Lovely scent, lovely shave and finished off with some Clubman! Oh yeah! Happy Monday and happy shaves all!
