Sun 8 Dec
Prep: Face scrub RSC
Soap: Stirling Haverford
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow
Bowl: Northen 3D
Razor: Gillette Tech
Blade: Gillette 7'oclock Sharp Edge
Post: Hot and cold rinse
PSB: Stirling Haverford
I don't know if Stirling have tweaked their soap base but it just seemed different more gloopy and stringy and it seemed to take a bit more water

Razor - Yaqi DOC
Blade - Treet Black (2)/Gillette Winner (9)
Brush - Yaqi Fan Tuxedo Mysterious Blue Handle
Soap - Proraso Green
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Dapper Dan's Eucalyptus and Menthol
AS - Benjamin's Bay Rum Mentholated

A few strokes with the Treet Black and the blade felt horrible, rough and tuggy so it was switched midway through the first pass and replaced with the Gillette Winner which felt infinitely better. I'm liking the Gillette Winner more and more, I think it might be one of my favourite blades right - not a million miles from a Gillette Platinum but I think it might be a touch smoother and I definitely get better results with the blade.

Great shave in the end.

My Original plan of giving some of my 1st razors a run out went to pot with a delivery from the postie last week.
The old guard were cleaned and placed in BST and plans were afoot to trial the new stuff.

Today's shave.
Now that was the shave i was hoping for from my Dart. Very smooth comfortable Face feeler from 3 easy passes.
I had the shave angle off from the 1st pass and away i went. Very smooth with a hint of blade feel, the C plate suits me down to the ground.
Everything said about these Karve razors is right. a lovely shaver.
This will mean that 1 or 2 more razors may not make the cut - Its early days though.
A very happy BBS and comfortable shaver today feeling and smelling pretty good.
Have a great day All

Day 9 of Decadent December features my gold plated British Gillette Flare Tip Rocket which delivered a DFS to both noggin and face. I know many like a Friday ‘Fat' day, but for me it's always a Monday ‘Mitchell's day. Mitchell's is my favorite shaving soap, hands down! And when salted with 5-6 drops of M-Bomb is unbeatable for me. Like many of us in this hobby I have collected many soaps, both high end (Martin de Candre) and low end (Williams), but I always keep coming back to Mitchell's! I feel cool and refreshed, although not quite as smooth as I would like.
