SOTD: Saturday 7th - 13th of September 2019

I've decided for the next month or possibly longer, regardless the make of the de blade, i will change it after two shaves purely to thin down the amount of blades i still have in my shaving den... Starting with the T7D platinum a blade i haven't used in ages, which matched up with the frankenrazor superbly, making a wonderful non-aggressive ,yet efficient smooth duo...The characteristics of them are very similar to the Gillette silver Blue & Astra SP, in sharpness, with a slightly sharper edge ,which can be a little rough on the first pass, but after that they mellow out...As always DE blade opinions are very subjective....I like Trig blades, too which i will use in my SOTD's next week. Both the T7D platinum & Trig blades are from the Treet factory manufactured in Pakistan.
My skin type seems to like indian & pakistani made blades, and count myself fortunate that i haven't had any problems with intermittent quality problems with either blades. As always YMMV.

Looks like a great shave and I can understand the urge to thin the blade heard! Something I have learnt along the way, it's very easy to buy a lot of blades, but a lot more difficult to use a lot of blades!

I've used quite a few Pakistani and Indian blades and I've never had an issue with consistency, but I seemed to have had a lot more with Russian Gillette and Personna ones (USA). IMO, Treet blades seem to go under the radar, I prefer them to a lot of ones made by 'bigger' names.

7/9/19

Soap - Proraso Green
Brush - Yaqi Plissoft
Razor - Ball End Tech
Blade - Astra SP
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Cooling Kick

The soap and blade were ones I first used at the start of my DE shaving journey and ones that I didn't really appreciate until quite recently, I imagine entirely down to my technique being inadequate at the time.

Have a good weekend chaps.

Amem to that! I've been impressed enough with the Treet Platinums to buy 100.
